Thank you for taking the time to read the terms and conditions of Lush Africa Safaris’ services. Confirming a safari with Lush Africa Safaris implies that you have read, fully understood, and accepted the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. BOOKINGS

 

1.1 Services Provided

Lush Africa Safaris Ltd. facilitates transportation, accommodation bookings, restaurant meals, excursions, and other services in collaboration with independent suppliers.

1.2 Information Accuracy

Details in client itineraries are provided to the best of Lush Africa Safaris’ knowledge. The company is not liable for modified information from third parties or typing errors.

1.3 Required Information

To book domestic flights and gorilla permits, we require:

  • Full names as they appear in your passport
  • Nationality
  • Passport number

1.4 Special Requests

Clients must inform Lush Africa Safaris of any preferences or special requirements (e.g., medical needs, dietary preferences, or disability accommodations) before confirming the safari. Requests will be accommodated where possible.

1.5 Availability

All packages are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed. Early reservations are encouraged due to limited capacity at many lodges and hotels.

1.6 Amendments

If changes to a reservation are requested, Lush Africa Safaris will accommodate them where practicable. An amendment fee, reflecting actual costs, may apply.

1.7 Changes to Itineraries

Lush Africa Safaris reserves the right to adjust the tour schedule, transportation, or accommodation in unforeseen circumstances. Changes will be communicated promptly.


2. PRICES

 

2.1 Inclusions

Safari prices typically include:

  • Overnight stays in specified accommodations
  • Meals as indicated in the itinerary
  • Park entrance fees and ranger fees
  • Sightseeing and ground transportation
  • English-speaking driver/guides
  • Bottled mineral water in vehicles

2.2 Exclusions

Prices exclude:

  • International and domestic airfare
  • Visas and passports
  • Meals not included in the itinerary
  • Drinks (except bottled water in vehicles)
  • Tips, gratuities, and personal expenses (e.g., laundry, travel insurance)

2.3 Price Changes

Prices are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed until confirmed in writing.

2.4 Adjustments

Lush Africa Safaris may adjust prices due to currency fluctuations or increased costs. Efforts will be made to minimize any price increases.


3. EXECUTION OF THE TOUR

 

3.1 Wildlife Viewing

Wildlife sightings in their natural habitat are not guaranteed. Follow all safety instructions from guides and wildlife rangers.

3.2 Gorilla Permits

A permit guarantees tracking but does not ensure primates will be visible.

3.3 Accommodation

Accommodation is typically twin or double rooms with private bathrooms. Single rooms may require a supplemental fee and are subject to availability.

3.4 Substitutions

Lush Africa Safaris reserves the right to substitute equivalent or superior accommodations where necessary.

3.5 Transportation

Transport arrangements depend on group size and route. While vehicles are maintained, the company is not liable for delays due to road conditions.

3.6 Driver/Guides

Only experienced, English-speaking driver/guides are permitted to operate vehicles. Their decisions on routes and logistics are final.

3.7 Tour Adjustments

Routes and services may be altered due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., road closures, bad weather). Alternative arrangements will be made.

3.8 Subcontractors

Lush Africa Safaris may use subcontractors to provide services.

3.9 Behavior

Lush Africa Safaris reserves the right to exclude participants for disruptive or unsafe behavior. No refunds will be provided.


4. PAYMENT

 

4.1 Deposits

A 30% deposit of the basic program rate is required to confirm bookings. Gorilla permits require full payment upfront.

4.2 Balance Payments

The balance is due 42 days before the safari unless otherwise agreed.

4.3 Late Bookings

Reservations made within 42 days of arrival must be paid in full upon confirmation.

4.4 Non-Payment

Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation.

4.5 Payment Methods

Accepted methods:

  • VISA credit card (5% service charge applies)
  • Bank transfer
  • Cash
  • Traveler cheques, CashApp, and Money Orders (for U.S. residents)

4.6 Transaction Costs

All international transaction fees or credit card service charges are the responsibility of the client.


5. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

 

5.1 Cancellation Requests

Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective upon receipt.

5.2 Cancellation Charges

  • 60+ days before arrival: 10% charge
  • 59–32 days: 25% charge
  • 31–8 days: 50% charge
  • 7–3 days: 75% charge
  • 48 hours or less: 100% charge

Gorilla permits and air tickets are non-refundable.

5.3 Unused Services

No refunds are provided for unused services, late arrivals, or no-shows.


6. COMPLAINTS

 

6.1 Reporting Complaints

Complaints should be reported immediately to a Lush Africa Safaris representative or the service provider. If unresolved, submit a written report within 30 days of tour completion.


7. LIABILITY

 

7.1 Supplier Responsibility

Lush Africa Safaris is not liable for errors or omissions by suppliers.

7.2 Loss/Damage

The company is not responsible for loss, damage, or injury to persons or property.

7.3 Force Majeure

The company cannot be held liable for unforeseen events such as flight delays, weather, or other force majeure events.

7.4 Documentation

Clients are responsible for carrying valid passports, visas, and health documents.

7.5 Health & Safety

Travelers must take necessary medical and safety precautions. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.

7.6 Jurisdiction

Claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the country where the cause of action arises.
