Itinerary
We will pick you up from the airport and go to your accommodation.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our driver and an office representative will meet you. After completing customs procedures, you will depart Nairobi and drive to Amboseli National Park. Check-in at your lodge and enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, proceed on an afternoon game drive to spot unique animals like big-tusk elephants and enjoy views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro. Located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular parks in Kenya and one of the best places to see large herds of elephants. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
Start your morning game drive early before returning to the camp for breakfast. Since this is a full day in Amboseli, you can enjoy a full-day game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large herds of elephants against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, making it a favourite spot for photographers. In addition to elephants, you can also find herds of wildebeest, buffaloes, gazelles, and many other wildlife species. Although you will encounter many more animals, what truly stands out is the high presence of elephants. All the African “Big Five” (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard, and buffalo) are easily spotted here, along with other fascinating wildlife such as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hyraxes, dik-diks, lesser kudus, mongooses, nocturnal porcupines, and many more. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
After breakfast, depart Amboseli with a game drive en route to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, check-in at the lodge and enjoy a hot lunch. Later in the afternoon, you can take a boat trip to the second-largest freshwater lake in Kenya (cost not included). Alternatively, you can take an optional walk on Crescent Island. The terrain on the island is flat, making it easy for walkers of all abilities to enjoy themselves. The island is home to various bird species and hosts giraffes, zebras, impalas, waterbucks, and other animals. Your driver-guide can arrange either of these optional excursions for you. The lake is also home to many hippos that can be easily spotted from the island. Among the resident birds are fish eagles, ospreys, lily-trotters, black crakes, and
herons. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the resort.
You’ll start your day with an early morning game drive to Hell’s Gate National Park. This is the only park in Kenya where visitors can cycle or walk among the animals. After the game drive, you will return for breakfast and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. You’ll arrive in time for lunch, with a game drive en route to spot leopards (which are frequently spotted here). After lunch, you’ll embark on another game drive, focusing
on seeking out the two species of rhino found in the park (the black and the white). Lake Nakuru National Park is also known for its many species of birds and thousands of flamingos.
After breakfast, you’ll depart Lake Nakuru for a three-day Masai Mara adventure, passing through the Great Rift Valley. After arriving and having lunch at the camp, you will enjoy a fantastic afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is unparalleled in Kenya for its wildlife sightings, hosting Africa’s “Big Five.” The reserve’s flourishing ecosystem is a captivating blend of wildlife, savannah, rolling hills, and iconic acacia trees. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The incredible wildlife experience continues as you explore the plains, where large herds of herbivores graze, and cheetahs and leopards hide in their locations. The Masai Mara is the heart of Kenyan tourism, boasting many mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and over 400 bird species. Wildlife is abundant here, and visitors often can see the “Big Five” (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhino). Your picnic lunch will be at the Mara River migration point. After lunch, you will have time to rest before starting your late afternoon game drive, extending until late evening. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Enjoy another full day exploring the endless plains of the Masai Mara. This reserve, covering 1510 sq km, is a small extension of the larger Serengeti National Park. It is world-renowned for its large abundance of wildlife (estimated to be more than three million individuals) and the highest concentration of big predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, jackals, and serval cats. You will start your day with an early morning game drive and have your midday meal at a picnic area alongside the Mara River migration point. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
You will have a sunrise game drive before returning to the camp for breakfast. You will then check out and begin your journey back to Nairobi, enjoying a picnic lunch en route. You will be dropped off at your city hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, which marks the end of your tour.
