Overview
Connected to Tanzania’s Serengeti, the Maasai Mara National Reserve plays co-host to the great migration.
A visit here from August to November gives you a front-row seat to witness some two million wildebeest and thousands of zebras trying to cross the Mara River for greener pastures on the opposite side. Crocodiles, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas line up to try and snatch a wildebeest or two. The outcome is the stuff for television production, bringing Discovery Channel to life.
After here, this itinerary will take you to Lake Nakuru N/P. In its grassy floodplains, you will see flocks of flamingos, the larger and more peace-loving white rhinos, buffalos, abundant Rothschild’s giraffe, waterbuck, plus some lions and leopards.

Wake up for breakfast and game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, a destination named after a vast lake system that is notable for its blue-green algae. It is often referred to as the ‘pink lake’ due to its large congregation of flamingos. Situated on the floor of the Great Rift Valley, this wildlife estate offers easy wildlife viewing of most big animals apart from elephants. It is one of the few African parks that have both the black and white rhino species. They mostly dwell around the lake area, just like the other animals to which the park is home-like Rothschild giraffes, hippos, buffalos, and waterbuck. Your drive in the woodland will primarily target sightings of tree-climbing lions and shy leopards that love to blend in with their bushy surroundings. After lunch, depart to Nairobi where you will arrive between 4 and 5 pm, just in time for departure to your next destination/flight.
Thank you for visiting our beautiful country, Kenya.
